Inspired by the big tenor sax sounds of Dexter Gordon and the screaming Hammond Organ of Jimmy Smith, the band play original tunes, deeply entrenched in the roots of the music. London based trio Fraser & the Alibis play the hippest in Bop, Blues and Boogaloo. Expect to hear timeless jazz standards from The Great American songbook, written by greats such as Cole Porter, George Gershwin, and Rodgers & Hart. Specialising in recreating the original and authentic sound of R&B, The Cosimo Matassa Project are passionate about the 45″ records that emerged from the New Orleans studios of Cosimo Matassa in the 1950s and 1960s by the likes of Little Richard, Ray Charles, Fats Domino, Dr. Made up of some of London’s finest session musicians (Dai Price is on Double Bass and Vocals), the band are bonded by their mutual love for early New Orleans rhythm & blues. Performing in top venues all over London, such as Pizza Express Jazz Club, Ronnie Scott’s, 606 Club, The Archduke, Charlie Wright’s and Oliver’s Jazz Bar to name a few – Louise was also chosen to represent the UK in the Riga Jazz Stage Contest in 2021. Named by multi-award-winning singer Liane Carroll as a singer to listen out for, Louise Balkwill was born into a family of musicians, where she was never short of inspiration and was raised as a multi instrumentalist before turning her interests to singing at the age of 16. The Louise Balkwill Trio, 1:30pm – 3:30pm All featuring wonderful female vocals backed by the Jazz Dynamos swinging rhythm section for an evening of great dinner music entertainment. Taking influences from the 60s to Samba, Britney to Bossa and Ella to Amy, The Jazz Dynamos Quartet perform music spanning the last 80 years, including the Great American Songbook, classic French chansons, Gatsby era jazz, as well as their own unique twist on 70s and 80s pop hits.
